Thursday Roundup and Size Healthy

Hello hello hello!

Sorry for disappearing for a while, life has been crazy this last week!  My husband has been working nights since the Olympics started last week, and we’re just now getting back to our regularly scheduled program.  Right now, I’m watching the men’s figure skating, NOT hockey like the rest of the country!

For Valentine’s day we decided to have a special brunch instead of dinner, so I made heart-shaped French toast & bacon.

I really prefer to cook my bacon in the oven.  It is so easy, less messy, and you don’t have to hover over it like on the stove!  It had been so long since I had French toast, so this really hit the spot!

Tonight for dinner, we had a clean-out-the-fridge salad, which was super yummy.

Contents:  Spinach, cucumbers, chicken fingers, dried cranberries, walnuts, and… brie!  So so so good!  I want to eat this salad for dinner for at least a week it is that good!

Are you a size healthy?

Yesterday, Angela at Oh She Glowsposted about being a “size healthy” and ignoring the numbers on her clothing.  As she pointed out, clothing sizes vary from store-to-store, or even season-to-season.  So many women (including myself more often than not) place such an emphasis on the “size” of their clothes, instead of how healthy they feel, or how well they’re treating their bodies.  Being 6’1” with a 35” inseam, I have had my share of depressing fitting-room moments, as well as a fair portion of “holy cow! What size am I actually wearing?!” If I could say one thing to every woman, it would be: Forget the number, be a “size healthy” instead!!!!

Oh She Glows is having a size healthycontest ending tomorrow!  Post/email your pics, and win some Glo Bars!  See the website for details.

Here are my size healthy pics:
